Nirvana Massage Tables was founded in 2009 by Desmond Slattery, CEO of GotYourBack and Bronwen Callaghan. Desmond was originally trained as a Shiatsu Therapist and has had an interest in proper body mechanics and ergonomics for many years. Desmond began selling massage equipment and supplies in the late 1980's. He began building and repairing portable massage tables for the local massage market. He has spent years gaining knowledge in the engineering and structure of massage tables.

Bronwen joined GotYourBack in 1994 as a Shiatsu Massage Therapist and quickly moved into product sales and marketing and became president of GotYourBack in 2000. Marvin Gorovitz, Samar Products, brought the initial concept for the Nirvana Massage Table to Bronwen and Desmond in early 2009. Drawing on her experience as a massage therapist and the feedback and opinion of many women, Bronwen came up with the finished concept for the Nirvana 2n1.

The 2n1 addresses common complaints that many women have during face down massage. The Breast Recess Feature provides comfort by taking pressure off of the breasts in prone position. In addition, the recess feature allows the spine to stay in better alignment which helps the client relax more fully. Massage Therapists will find their work easier because the musculature of the middle and lower back is more relaxed making palpation, pressure, and stretching easier. The pillow insert can be easily replaced for supine massage or for treating male clients.

Nirvana Massage Tables is currently working on other products to enhance the experience of clients and offer simple, ergonomic solutions for the massage therapist. We are dedicated to developing quality products at affordable prices.
